The key to insuring maximum availability of the critical network infrastructure is on-going service and support. Equipment failures, even though less frequent than in previous years, do occur. Having service programs with knowledgeable support can reduce the risk associated with the issues. Complete Power Technology, Inc. Services include:

On-Site Service Plans - Each plan includes remedial on-site service from a certified service engineer, parts (including batteries as applicable) and travel. On-site response times are available in 4-hour, next day and next business day.

Preventative Maintenance (PM) - One PM is normally packaged into each on-site service plan. Additional PMs are available for sites requiring more than one PM per year. Since most UPS have to be placed in a bypass mode during part of the PM, scheduled services are available with flexible scheduling. Even though most newer UPS models have battery monitoring to identify weak batteries, PMs are key to providing a greater level of predictive battery health.

Remote Monitoring - Each manufacturer maintains a 7 X 24 facility for monitoring the status of contacted UPS, via the internet. Customer benefits include notification of significant alarms, diagnostics and engineer dispatch as need, resolutions, and recommendations. Service also provides summary reports detailing the operational performance of the equipment.

Battery Replacement Service - The most critical maintenance component in any UPS is the batteries. From workstation UPS to large data center system units, Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) is the most common type of battery utilized. These batteries have a rated life from 3 years to 7 years and normal recommended replacement is every 5 years. Whether pre-packaged modules or individual batteries, CPT is available to provide replacement service.
